I would love to see a movie of the Marvel Epic magazine story called THE SACRED AND THE PROFANE. A scifi story with theological elements.

Tim Drake-Robin or Nightwing-in-Bludhaven movie would be good. Batman without all the complications that a Bat movie brings (toy tie-ins, big stars, big directors with their own "vision").
I also think a movie based on Crossgen's Ruse might be good. Sherlock Holmes mixed with Sci-fi and fantasy.

Don't forget Mogo, the living planet GL.
I'd love a GL movie and a Flash movie. And maybe if it was done right a Plastic Man movie

The Green Hornet and Kato. Ryan Phillipe and Jet Li (or Donnie Yen) would be perfect for the roles.

C'mon...We all know Wonder Woman is looooong overdue on her movie. She's already carried a successful TV dram for three seasons. Movies like Gladiator, Charlie's Angels and Tomb Raider (and tv series like Buffy and Xena) prove that there's a market for this....Why hasn't it happened yet?

Nightwing seems like a natural.
DC's Adam Strange would make a cool animated film.
Hawkman wouldn't be too hard to do with today's special effects. Or a Spectre film, with David Caruso as Jim Corrigan.
As for indie stuff, Bone and Akiko would make great animated flicks.
And since he's working in film now anyway, I'd love to see James Robinson bring Leave It To Chance to the big screen.

I think Nightwing would need to have all the Bat-background...and we saw how well the WB has dealt with THAT!

Yet another Marvel Epic story that would be great on film: Generation Zero. (Yes Marvel published it first...around 1986)

I don't think that would necessarily bog it down. (WB would make sure it would, but it doesn't *have* to.)
He was Robin. Now he's not. It could be just that simple.

I agree...keep the background simple and just let the film continue on it´s own. But who should Nightwing fight? Blockbuster?

Simply put THE JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA
Just imagine how much money could be made by a film featuring Bats,Supes,WW,GL & all the other DC big guys. Wouldnt matter if it was shit or not,it`d bust the box office wide open!

I was going to say Blockbuster, who would hire Deathstroke to go after our hero, but that's too close to Daredevil.
Brother Blood would make a very interesting movie villain, I think.

If they did a Nightwing movie, I'd love to see him go up against Killer Crock. They could play it out all Aliens like (were he's more an ominous presence than actually on screen) and fill it with dark, sewer locals.

That would bring in a lot of money, but I think first they would have to give each of the characters their own movie so that the public can get to know them more before they see them on the team.

I always thought "Face" would make a brilliant film, but It's not really a character type story. Maybe Luther Arkwright or Ironwolf, then.

You fail to see my point! X-Men is huge & thats a team, nobody got their own solo shot first & the only icon in the team is Wolverine! Most of the general non-comic reading public all know who Bats,Supes & WW are,and even the guys like Aquaman & GL are more well known than say Cyclops & Iceman!
Heres a test for ya,walk up to 20 random strangers & ask them to name three superheroes. My betting is that at least on of the big three at DC will be in everyones list probably two.
The whole point is recognition!

First and foremost, I would love to see a Bone animated movie. It'd just be too fun. Last semester, some friends and I kicked around ideas for who could play which characters. We liked Steve Martin for Smiley and Cameron Diaz or Kirsten Dunst for Thorn. We had some other casting picks, but I don't quite recall them.
As far as other movies go, I'd like to see a Hitman movie penned by Ennis or an Etrigan movie, maybe with Adrien Brody as Jason Blood.

From Entertainment Weekly:
Are cameras finally ready to roll on Warner Bros.' film about the lasso twirling Amazon?
Producer Joel Silver...recently hired formed Smallville writer-producer Phillip Levens as screenwriter No. 4 for the project...Levens is taking his cues from the 70s' TV show, equipping Diana Prince's alter ego with bulletproof bracelets and a boomerang tiara...
Producer Leonard Goldberg says that he'll cast an actress "in her early to mid-20s." (Rumor has it ex-Slayer Sarah Michelle Gellar is hot for the part.) Levens expects Wonder Woman to have a director and star within three months.
As much as I like Gellar... No way in fucking hell! ![[AAAHHHH!!!]](graemlins/aahhh.gif)

quote: In early May, Comics2Film/CBR News was broke the first solid news in over a year about the planned "Wonder Woman" movie when we exclusively reported that "Smallville" scribe Philip Levens had come on board to write a new script for the project. In the wake of that the rumor mill has started buzzing again with sound bytes and speculation about the shape of this long-suffering movie project.
Entertainment Weekly managed to extract a few comments from producer Leonard Goldberg about the project. Goldberg is currently doing press for this weekend's "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle."
The producer told EW that there should be a director on board in the next three months. As far as casting goes, Goldberg said the perfect leading lady would be, "in her early to mid-20."
EW also speculates that "Buffy" star Sarah Michelle Gellar is eager to don the star tiara, but she's not the only one.
According to Australia's Woman's Day magazine, Jennifer Lopez would also love to get the part. "I'd love to play Wonder Woman. I loved her when I was growing up -- she's hot," J. Lo is quoted as saying.
In the article Lopez points to the "crazy" wardrobe and invisible jet as attractions for her.
Fans are reminded that actresses from Jennifer Aniston to Chyna have speculated that they wished for the part for years, each time sparking a round of rumors that they are actually attached. In almost all cases, none of them actually were. So, while Gellar and Lopez may adore "Wonder Woman," there are still no actual casting attachments for this film.
Thanks to Lauren and Renny for the scoops!

I doubt that would happen right now. I'd put money on hearing Spider-Man, The Hulk, and the X-Men (Wolverine in particular) more often.
I agree with Jack, I'd rather see each member of the Justice League of America get their own movie first. The JLA differs from the X-Men because each individual member of the JLA is three-dimensional with a rich history. They each deserve his or her own movie before having to share screen time with the others. The only X-Man I could say that about is Wolverine (and he's far from my favorite).
JMO.
But I did kick around a rough JLA script after I heard DC was considering a Superman/Batman movie. I think the JLA would make a great movie... eventually.

There is no reason Sinestro would have to look exactly the same on screen as he does in the comics! No superhero or supervillain has looked exactly the same on the silverscreen!
