Pariah, now you're arguing semantics.

it was a good episode. Obviously the producers used it to wrap up Batman Beyond (which was cancelled suddenly), but as a fan of Batman Beyond I don't mind.
The JLU storyline was wrapped up last week.

but the storytelling is great, the best I've seen on JLU really.

No. It's not semantics. It's the same subject I've been arguing the whole time. They're implying that Batman is a hereditary trait--And that's idiotic. End of story.

As for the ending of BB: You're prolly right, but that doesn't make things better. Just worse. Although, it does reaffirm my point that it's an elseworlds.

To me, the story is different from the storytelling.

The story is the particulars and course that lead from point A to point B. The storytelling is the way in which they are presented. I wasn't too fond of the particulars for reasons listed above, but I felt the way the episode was presented was wonderful.

The last several pages of this thread have been filled with spoilers for those depending on American TV.

You used a spoiler alert on page 22 but then there's nothing after that.

The "spoilery" stuff starts again around the end of page 24, with no warning. That was just after last week's U.S. aired episode (Hunter's Moon).

I'm sorry I'm not as savvy as the rest of you downloading fiends, but that doesn't give you the right to include spoilers for a show that's still airing (first run) for a lot of people.

Saying, "where have you been?" doesn't make spoiling future episodes any better. Very uncool on all your parts for loading this thread with spoilers without warning people, especially towards the end of the current U.S. season.

A little courtsey isn't too much to ask for, or so I thought.

You are arguing semantics. You're conceding that fate plays a role in heroes becoming heroes, but that the son of Batman having the traits of his father is stupid.

Amanda Waller said Terry had his father's stubborness and compassion, those are character traits that can be inherited. She made a point to mention he didn't have the genius that Bruce did.

Fate stepped in by leading Terry to Bruce, so of course he'd become Batman that way. The way you're arguing it makes it seem like you think Terry was destined to be Batman had he never met Bruce or even heard of Batman.
That would've been stupid.

First of all: She wasn't just saying that it was his stubborness and compassion. She was implying that there was some sort of spirit of Batman in him.

Second of all: Stubborness and compassion aren't genetically inherited. They're passed on from influence. Bruce didn't influence Terry all of his life.

Now you're just trying to over-explain things and confuce the issue.

The fact that you think fate stepped in and made Terry meet Bruce means that you think Terry was pre-destined. Not me.

One thing can be said about this show, any DC show actually. It's WAY better than anything Marvel has come up with yet!

Though I liked X-men Evolution very much it's still no where near as well-thought-out and produced as this show!

by original do you mean the 1990's version? or the 1970's version where Wolverine is Australian?

ok.
Yeah, that show was good until the last season when it got all lame.
But JLU and all the Timm/Dini shows are still better.

The newly aired shows are good, but I hope this isn't going to make newcomers feel like they missed something when they first tune in. We get enough of that in mainstream comics.

Re: Divided We Fall -- spoilers

Okay, so I've watched it three times now (a la video tape) and each time I still cringe when Wally disappears into thin air after beat the shit out of Brainiac/Lex.

But, it was great . . . and I still miss it when Diana disappears to go after the Javalin to throw it at the building. Man, that was awesome!

But yea, I have to say, that the best scene was Wally zipping around the globe like it was nothing was fantastic!

So, with the end of the Watchtower, does this mean we get the Hall of Justice next season? That would only seem fitting if we do get the Legion of Doom (that's the rumor anyway) . . . wouldn't you say?

And, next week's Epilogue should be interesting. I actually liked Batman Beyond (with a few exceptions of course) and it'll be interesting to see how things are in that future now with all the other changes that have occured since the last time we got a glimpse into the future with Bruce.

But . . . at the end, when Superman is addressing the crowd again and Bats says to Diana, "You guys can handle this. I have business back in Gotham." He pauses to look at her and says, "You have my number." The look on her face and then the look on his . . . was it just me?

**Spoilers....uh....Just in Case...**

Okay, so, I don't normally watch this show. For one reason, it comes on at such odd hours, I can never seem to catch it on time. And, another, it always wants to showcase fucking Supergirl in the intro, which I think pretty much kills the show for me.

HOWEVER....and I mean however....

I accidentally caught the Superman VS Capt Marvel episode. Fantastic! Lots of fun and explosions and hitting things. All I wanted.

And, I caught one last night where the Big 7 unite to stop Braniac/Luthor.

Holy...freaking....shit.

I only caught the last ten minutes where they were battling him, so, I have no idea what was going on. But, damn what a fight! And finally....FINALLY they gave Flash his due. I got so pumped the moment he started coming from all sides, faster, and faster, and faster! And then, when he just started hammering into him at superspeed! FUCKING AWESOME!!

LOVED what I saw of this episode. Really.

Can anyone tell me when they are releasing this show by the season on DVD? I mean, what's the freaking hold up? Every other show kicks them out by the season within moments of debuting. I want to OWN this series, so I can watch all the ones I missed.

Also, what's with the "dismantling" the Watchtower and all? Are they about to try and conform to the Alex Ross gayfest-Superfriends book he's putting out? Or, is it the other way around?

Thanks for any input...

what episode are we on in JLU season 3?

because from where I'm standing it certainly looks like I've missed a whole lot.

I've only seen up until and including episode 4

Apparently this season might be the last. Which is a shame because, as the writers have shown, the show has limitless potential.
