Wilson captures title of Miss Licking County Sunday, October 17, 2004 By Advocate Staff Report  Kasey Wilson, 18, of Granville, won the title of Miss Licking County during the pageant Saturday night at Heath High School.
Wilson is a freshman at Ohio State University.
The Miss Licking County Pageant is a preliminary to the Miss Ohio and Miss America Scholarship Program titles. There is more than $4,000 in scholarship money available.
This is the fifth year for the Miss Licking County Scholarship under the direction of Renee Autherson Brown, who was Miss Central Ohio and Miss Ohio in 1992. This pageant is a closed pageant, meaning only women from Licking County can compete.

Licking County (OH) neighbors Franklin County (home to Columbus) on the east.
Strangely though, the Licking River flows north from Kentucky into the Ohio River at Cincinnati.
