Warner Home Video is celebrating 50 years TV programming with a year-long celebration encompassing four major waves of TV-on-DVD releases. The first wave, due on February 8th, will include complete first seasons of The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Full House, The Jamie Foxx Show, Murphy Brown, Night Court and The Wayans Brothers (all already announced - see below).



Other new titles to look forward to in the coming year include, among others, 77 Sunset Strip, The Adventures of Superman (with George Reeves), Alice, Chico and the Man, Family Matters, The Flash (1990), The George Lopez Show, Growing Pains, Head of the Class, Lois & Clark, Maverick, Max Headroom, Scarecrow and Mrs. King, Step By Step, Suddenly Susan and Welcome Back Kotter. Look for the next three waves of discs in June, September and November. Specially-marked sets will also contain a bonus commemorative compilation disc featuring episodes of never-before-released favorites. There will be fifteen separate volumes of these bonus discs in all. Stay tuned for more info on all the releases in the coming year.

Just announced from Warner Home Video are a number of new TV shows. Due on February 8th 2005 are The Fresh Prince of Bel Air: The Complete First Season, Full House: The Complete First Season, The Jamie Foxx Show: The Complete First Season, Murphy Brown: The Complete First Season, Night Court: The Complete First Season and The Wayans Brothers: The Complete First Season. Each two-disc set arrives with fullscreen transfer and Dolby Digital Stereo tracks (1.0 mono for Full House and Night Court). Extras include new retrospective documentaries (Fresh Prince, Murphy Brown, Night Court), commentary tracks (Full House, Murphy Brown, Night Court), gag reel (Jamie Foxx Show), a trivia track and a never-before-seen pilot (Full House). Retail is $29.98 each.

I watched a couple of episodes of the Fresh Prince a couple weeks ago and it did not hold up at all. I'm guessing the same for most the others on the list.

I've watched re-runs of Night Court in recent history and It deffinately holds up.
