What do you think of the UBB 6.0?? Right now, over at Marvel we're stuck running 5.44, but I think we're going to end up getting 6.0 when it comes out. What do you like about, pros/cons, new features, stuff like that. 5.44 is amazingly simple to set up and I'm hoping 6.0 is, too. BTW, will the DC Boards be seeing an update?? And when are we going to see the updated dccomics.com. I can tell you that we're working on a new Marvel.com, so when is DC gonna update that piece of crap (no offense, but its been the dame for like three years, man)??? Anyways, any help from an old hand at UBB would be great!!

hola simps! the 5 version is definitely better.... as of now. its much more customizable. once the 6.0 version is officially released (and, especially 2 weeks later, when the final fix-its are thrown in), 6 will be the way to go. it is (or will be) cleaner, smoother, and faster and will (at that point) adopt all the customizable-ness of the 5 pointers).

We're going to give it a bit more time to figure out the weak spots. I like the interface of UBB6, but it makes things harder to work with on the back-end. Unfortunately, I've had numerous crashes and attacks that I've had to recover from and one of the key things that I'm used to is the location and format of key files. That's all changed now, and I'm going to have to figure out what's where before I'm even going to think about implementing it.

even tho v6 is now "official" (im using the gold version here), its still flawed. greatly. most think its an improvement over 5.x. and, yeah, id say i'd agree with that. however, there's SO many new aspects with this v6, that its actually much like a completely new program and, because of that, there's sooooo many bugs and glitches in it. 6.1 is s'posed t'come out within a month. that'll fix some of'em, but... still, unless yer a monkey like myself, its probably best to stick with the "more reliable" v5

Well, we got v6.01 up and running. It's kind of odd to look at at first, the format's a bit different, but cool nonetheless. Check it out!!!

well, my boards are first. then, i suppose, by default, the dc boards. then the marvel boards. ....tho, perhaps bard is right (and, of course, bsams is not). athanon would probably rank 2nd or 3rd, thus forcing the marvel boards to 4th
