Link (with the news and art) Rob Liefeld has taken the occasion of the launch of his new website robliefeld.net to personally announce news that made its way to the ‘net this week via today’s Wizard Magazine. He is joining writer Gail Simone in a 2-issue guest stint on DC’s Teen Titans beginning this August.
The story arc will guest-star two characters Liefeld has the most DC experience with (though it’s been over 15 years), Hawk & Dove.
"Gail's scripts are fantastic, action packed, tense and exciting,” Liefeld writes on his website. “She writes the Titans with great ease as if she's been writing the book for years. We're both very conscious of the strong Titans fan base and we look forward to contributing to the Titan's canon. I consider myself very fortunate to be working with Gail as she is producing outstanding work each and every month on Birds of Prey and has the already-instant-smash-hit-before-it-ships-Villains United arriving in stores next week.”
Liefeld reports he and regular Titans writer Geoff Johns (taking some time to work on the fall’s Infinite Crisis) met early this year, talking Titans for hours. Liefeld also promised news on other new projects over the next few days, as well as providing a number of Titans images and sketches.

If you know anything about Liefeld's current comic output, you know that there'll be maybe one issue of this before it gets cancelled.

OK, all Liefield hating aside. I've tried to like his work! Seriously, i have!  There is something appealing about his work [atleast to me], and i find it better than Michael Turners monotonous cheesecake BS  , but still, its those damn forehead lines, muscles and cheeks. I like characters to look different, something Liefield does pull off in a way, but giving everyone those god awful forhead lines and the poxy way everyone seems to always be angry in his images just completely puts me off his work. Normally i like the outsider, i can atleast see the brillaince in he/she's work, but i have to go with the majority on Liefields work [if only he'd branch out and better his skills or change them a little  ]
