I dunno... The french actually invited us to Normandy, whereas we kind of invited ourselves to liberate the Iraqis. The media would definitely be antsy about the friendly fire/civilian casualties, but I doubt they would have preferred Hitler. And had the Geneva Convention even taken place?

killconey is right, the kurds and shiites preffered to be tortured and gassed over being liberated and forming their own represenitive goverment.
