Among video games, yes. I've never seen his picture anywhere outside of the video game community, I've never seen a movie made in his honor, he's never had his rights purchased by advertising companies to sell non-video game related products. So outside the gamers, I'd say that Lara Croft is a bit more recognizable.

I was within inches of buying an x-box 360 just to play this. I opted for a DS with Animal Crossing online and Super Princess Peach instead. I will get this eventually though...it looks fantastic!

This game sucked....a lot. This huge build up about Avalon, and then the big 'to be continued' fucking ending. Not just that, but it only took about 7 hours to play through...as opposed to the multiple weeks for previous TR games.
Fucking waste of time and money. Although, she does look fine...
