Naw, in liberal Hollywood, it would have to be an SUV. But the Delorean's stainless steel construction is what enables the flux capacitor to work so well... See, KITT needs to have time travel capacity to make the show work for the 21 st first century.. The evil Delorean could back in time and change things, and KITT would need to back and set right what had gone wrong.. cue the theme music from Quantum Leap....

So...here's an idea...what if the new Knight was a chick? Just a thought. That sounds like a good idea to me. Or the car could have a black man's voice..

Actually, Keith David would be an awesome KITT.
The thing is, having William Daniels as KITT would work as well. Hell, Peter Cullen could still be KARR. It would be a nice throwback to the old show.
(Yeah...I just bumped Season 1 to the top of my Netflix list. I remember obsessing about the show as a kid, and I don't remember a thing).

I watched the show every week when it was on.

For some reason, as a little kid, I was obsessed with watching Knight Rider and...Night Court (I can't explain that one). I suppose that's when the love affair for Pontiac began, actually.
Hmmm...Season One is only 22 dollars...hmmm...

Yeah I'm almost done watching the first season.
How did I totally forget what a man-whore the Hoff was on that show? There is a flippin' bedroom reference in each episode. Even KITT complains. The way he goes for single moms is almost creepy. They seriously alternate from blonde, to brunette, to redhead. It's funny as hell. It's amazing what goes over your head when your four or five.
And then the KARR episode...I'm sort of confused. You guys keep talking about Goliath and Garth -- they weren't in the episode with KARR. And KARR...yeah, having Optimus Prime as an evil talking car two years before he was a good talking truck is...ironic.
Although he was a lot more frank than KITT.

Are you talking about the spin-off series about a team of thinking cars and agents driving them?
That one was boring. Probably because the cars weren't characters the way KITT was in the original. Didn't watch more then one episode IIRC.

Perhaps the network here didn't bother to air Knight Rider long enough to come to the season(s) with KARR, Garth and Goliath.

A real geek. At the end of the show, they showed his scooter painted black with the red, swishing light on the front. I believe it was called K.N.E.R.D. Oh the 80's.

I don't remember much about the motorcycle. I just remember at the end of the episode KITT was still dissing it.
