Pixar has once again displayed its inability to do wrong. My wife (the increasingly famous Ariel aka Warp) and I just got back from seeing it. I thought it was great which is pretty much what I think of all Pixar movies. If I were to list my top ten favorite movies Pixar would take about half the spots, and "Cars" would be among them, not at the top, but solidly in.
The animation was beautiful, and I think the fact that my wife and I saw it in a DLP (Digital Projector) theatre helped that. If you have a theatre nearby showing it in digital, I'd reccomend you see it there. I am, without a doubt, a Pixar fan, so keep that in mind. If you don't like Pixar films, this probably won't change your mind.
I'd say it's better than "A Bug's Life" and "Finding Nemo", but not as good as "The Incredibles", the "Toy Story" movies or "Monsters Inc.". I'd also say it's skewed older than any Pixar movies other than "The Incredibles".
The closest I'm going to come to any spoilers is that there's a special treat for Pixar fans during the credits, so stick around. It actually probably had me laughing harder than any other part of the movie.
I know it was a concern of some people, so I'll say that I found the character played by Larry the Canle Guy to be funny, but I've never seen Larry the Cable Guy in anything else, so I'm not sure if he's more or less annoying than usual.
I really don't want to get too specific and ruin the movie for anyone, but I'd say this is the best movie I've seen all year and probably the best since "the Incredibles".
So, if you were worried, don't be. Pixar has done it again.

My wife and I loved it! Really an awesome movie. Just as good if not better the Incredibles. I didn't expect that at all. Nice feel good story. The fact that it had stock car racing as a backdrop really had nothing to do with the movie at all. It's main theme was to remember to slow down and appreciate the little things in life......to slow down and smell the roses!

My sister took her kids to see it today and she coldn't stop talking about it on our way to the Disney store to cash in their ticket stubs for cards from the movie.
She told me a couple of the lines which were funny and she did spoil that bit during the credits, but I don't think she did it justice. I thnk knowing and seeing will be 2 differnt things.
I can't wait to see it. Don't know when that'll happen though. I might wait a couple weeks until I get paid again before seeing it.
It's a rented tux ok? I'm not going comando in another man's fatigues.
