It was Grandia...it stayed there for awhile.

But Star Wars: Knights of The Old Republic is now my favorite game---ever. It's amazing..easily one of the most playable rpgs and the most free roaming and expansive. The dialogue and plot are excellent as are the characters. 50 hours of fun atleast....then you can change the characetr and affinity for force ..dark/light, etc..when youplay it again as a different sex or character and choose a different force focus..the plot makes variations....very cool....Excellent graphics and music, and an easily playable weapons/attack/equip menu screens...

anytime game save is a great option as well....

Highly recommended...5 out of 5 stars...

This is a fantastic game. No video game has explored the Star Wars universe as fully as this one does.

Yeah, I know..it's holding up the x-box downloadable content...

For me, the kicker is the excellent writing of the story. My jaw dropped a few times, and I would think, "AWESOME!" there are lots of good moments. I won't ruin the story, but I like the options you can have. I wasted those two Dark lords at the Academy, and was forced to take on the entire academy. It was cool.

Also worked as an assassin, which got me in trouble. But it was cool to see how far my character had come. Note: don't go to Sand people home without HK-47 and Mission

this is by bioware, so i'd say if they took out the star wars stuff, i'd still play this game. love the charecter interaction, tho i wish i could be more of a middle of the road charecter(i hate either trying to be a hollier than thou jedi, or just a plane out and out bastard sith. good game tho.

My new roommate has this game on X-Box. I put it in thinking it was another 3rd person shooter and was pleasantly surprised to find that not only was it an RPG but that it, for the most part, followed the D20 system of the latest tabletop game. Since discovering this game Thursday night, I have logged a little over 20 hours. It's just too damn addictive.

What's really sad is that it fits in more with the Star Wars universe continuity than the prequels.

Got the good guy ending. Now it's time for me to go back and be a total bastard.

I like the ending better. The Jedi are fools...heh.

Malak is going to be sorry when I get that Force Drain Feat. He won't stand a chance this time.

I forgot to give my guy Force Cure and had a hell of a time beating him. Used up every last damn medpack. But I did learn that Adheasive grenades can be your friend.

Well on my way to the Dark Side. Chose the Scoundrel class this time (was a Soldier last time, more feats). Blackmailed the doctor who was treating the Republic soldiers for some creds to keep me from turning him into the Sith (1 Dark Side Point). Found the dude hiding out from his loan shark. Took 50 creds from him to not squeal on him (1 Dark Side point) and then killed him for the 300 cred bounty (1 Dark Side point). Killed the drunken frat-like dudes who picked a fight with me (1 Dark Side point) with a single Frag grenade. The world loves a bastard.

I could never be mean to the Ithorian on Taris who was being teased by the kids and there is this woman on tatooine who I can never be mean to......everyone else got the full darkside wrath throughout..

Fuck all of 'em. I even convinced that dancing alien chick to let me be her partner for the audition and then intentionally bombed by falling down in the middle of it. No Dark Side points, but it was fun.

Don't forget to visit all the patrons in the bar on tatooine...you will get a nice surprise if you are darkside.


But my greatest joy was slaughtering the sand people.....every last one... :lol:

My biggest fear is becoming a whiney Dark Lord of the Sith.

I´m gonna need a new ´puter, damn damn damn damn, and this is one of those games I really have been looking forward to for a long time

Ok, I got past her after I agreed to kill her. After trying to reason with her over and over and over, she just would revert to the dark side and kill me every-single-time. Has anyone gotten past her after showing mercy?

are you talking in the forge or on the unknown planet?

On the unknown planet it's pretty easy because you should have jolee and juhani...

On the forge remember the way you answer questions ultimately affects the outcome of the conflict with Bastilla, and..remember to use battle pause so you can use your med packs or life support during battle..if you don't you better be having some serious heal action....battle pause is not cheating..it is built into the game so that you can use it.

Are you asking if she can be redeemed then the answer is ...Yes, whomod..it is the way you answer the questions though..there is a pattern....I've actually never had to kill her. I also always kicked her ass too though...


You know I really want to play this again. i beat it darkside 3 times and light side 2 times....

darkside is so fun.... 3 times with male characetrs and 2 times with female characters..I still have never had the darkside Carth resolution though.....

Umm..actually I think it is easier to turn her if you followed the romance side quest to it's conclusion..so if you are a male charcter that got some bastilla lovins I think the questions are suited to turn her with a bit less effort and convincing...

Got it, still waiting for a working cd-ROM drive though...
