Normally I try to stay positive and have fun on any board I'm on. I really only post at the Insurgency (and at x360a.org but only for game advice) so I only have a couple of quick comments to make addressing this. has the insurgency hypocritically lumped together "the enemy" as a collective "evil axis group"?- check. "hive mentality", "mob mentality", "nazis", "republicans", "typical right wing americans", "bush lovers" ... all blanket terms used to describe every rkmbs poster. ...despite the majority of whom: consistently disagrees with one another, dislikes dubya, is perhaps not even from the united states, etc, etc. unfortunately, none of these blaring, contradictory facts seem proof-enough to avoid enemy status.
Well, I'm an Insurgent and I've done no such thing. I have treated no-one as an enemy so I don't know why I'm being hypocritically lumped together with the other folks. has the insurgency tried to squash differentiating opinions by pre-labeling them terrible?- check. any points that oppose what the insurgency full-heartedly supports is instantly branded either a lie or wrong. in some cases, the insurgent member goes so far as to demand "proof" of sorts, but subsequently denies the proof as sorcery upon its retrieval. in many occasions particularly where the use of logic is brought to the discussion, the insurgency is quick to dismiss the commentary as lies, forgeries, hacking, a trap, or simply leaving the conversation all together.
That's a wrong headed lie and I'm leaving before you cast a cyber hex on my soul! has the insurgency gone so far that they've managed to splinter, and lose support amongst their own?- check. there been a number of "hey, its not us"-type public posts and PMs sent from former insurgent members, backing away or toning down from their former pack, in disgust. several approached gun-for-hire spies like the esteemed chris oakley rejected their demands. several of their own have even offered to work as moles in a insurgent rebellion.
Just like you guys we have our arguements amongst ourselves and we were bickering with each other long before our groups started throwing feces at each other. I for one wholeheartedly disagree with whoever made the alt about someone's family member. I also don't like posts just screaming negativity and circular logic but both our sides are guilty of that. has the insurgency declared moral superiority despite never showing such? check.- as with the sinking approval rating, techniques and commentaries from the insurgency have hit deplorable depths. their many claims as offenses to them have later simply been used by them in weak retaliatory attempts. repetitive image posting. name-calling. use of offensive terms. alt IDs. discussion of family members. even dear zap has flooded un-related forums, seemingly with the sole intention of spreading the word of him being "pwned"
What forums are unrelated? I've seen potshots taken at the Insurgency in a number of different forums. repetitive image posting is kinda annoying but RKMBs took away our sigs. I wonder if that's board-wide or if just Insurgents can't see or have sigs? I for one had a ginormous sig of a nugget. Beautiful Indica weed grown indoors magnified 10x but it was too big even for my tastes. I posted a thread asking how to resize and eventually got a polite answer. Not before I was called an alt and told I was fucking with someone(raburg?) for asking. and, yes, i know this will anger some and cause retorts of "oh, wull, hey, youse do'd it too'd!!1!!!" or some such verbal prose. maybe a "worse than murderies!" or something. then, maybe, there'll be a whole huge, sprawling response (not nearly as clever or as original as this one of course) featuring a quote-for-quote representation of how "the rkmb's did stuff firsts" or "worsers." heck, i will even forgo the formalities and give you the benefit of the doubt that this response will happen, moments after i click submit. on both forums! however, i wonder, such an act would gain you ... what? the truth is, nothing. well, nothing... other than the instant recognition that you've hypocritically become everything you loathe and swore to never be as a collection of individuals on the intrawebs. Well, you nailed it here's my sprawling response. But I myself have done nothing hypocritical except of course for being "hypocritically lumped together". And You'se guys did too. "mission accomplished" laughy face graemlin. laughy face graemlin. laughy face graemlin. this, my friends, is why we win. always. now, i make no claim of being nice or kind or smart or tall, but i do strive for community. you're each welcome to continue this "raid", as i assume most of this board hopes you do, because it is funny, and we admire a good tumble. or you can just post here and have fun! continue to hate whom you want, continue to be hated by those that want. learn to have fun with others. i know a handful of you are already clearly committed to large addictive doses of time here. either way, you have the freedom to do as you please, a freedom unique to but a few message forums, as you'll note in the comparison of our two boards ...and, clearly, many of you have, and already stick around here longer.
in conclusion, this land is my land, but, as the song goes, this land is your land. in some verses, i've got a shotgun, and you ain't got one. ... but that is neither here nor there. the statement here (or there) is that you've all already been baptized under fire at the rkmbs, and have found that you either can or can't hang. i'll be the first (or best!) to request that you enjoy your stay, and continue to play amongst the children in the field. enjoy the freedoms of open discussion and company of others who feel the same.
you do whatcha wanna do, and you're welcome to it. my google adsense is through the roof because of you, so this is the least i can offer (perhaps i am the "big business oil company" friend to your corrupt administration?) Freedom comes at a price(apparently $4.35 a gallon!) Seriously though I do appreciate the opennes of these forums and your response.
