I started reading the article thinking "what the fuck are they talking about", but I'm completely guilty of doing 4, 2 and 1. Also, whenever I win in Smash Bros using Link, I like to jump and do a spin in the air as the screen freezes.

He can apprentice with me and then he's yours for final training. He will remember the face of his father... Some day, Knutreturns just may be the greatest of us all...."-THE bastard

When I have a good enough lead I try to jump over the finish line sideways.

i'll also build these magnificent constructions in tetris, needlessly putting myself in harm, just waiting for the mythical arrival of like 5 of the 4-block skinny pieces in a row

I've done #2 and #1. And in Mega Man 1 I'd shoot the boss door with the magnet beam, jump on it, enter the door, then when the screen changes I sing "Believe it or not, I'm walking on air."
I used to roam the world fighting monsters and sleeping in mud. Now look at me, living in a castle, sleeping in a bed. Aren't I sweet? Yuck!

I'd get so OCD about leaving that one little line that I'd end up losing once the bricks start falling to quickly. Tetris is almost pure frustration because of that habit.

I don't play 99% of the games they listed. Clown-shoes, man. Where's the "Knife the Prostitute in the back of the neck after she fucks you so that you can get your money back" in Grand Theft Auto IV? Where's the "After you kill a bad guy, you shoot an arrow into his lifeless head to seal the deal" in Oblivion? What about the "Must do a minimum of seventy-five 'Shatner Rolls' per level" in Metal Gear Solid 4?
This list is for teh gays...

Tetris?? What are you people, twelve? Are you old ladies that go to Baptist Churches? Sorority sisters partying with Zima? Play some man-games...

#9: Picking Up Every Single Item In Fallout 3 I'm pretty much am a packrat in all Fallout and RPG games. That's why I liked getting the car in Fallout 2. It gave you a portable locker to take all your shit with you to sell and make some caps.

Blow shit up. Crash cars. Etc. Puzzle games like Tetris need a lot more thinking and problem solving. There's a reason why games like Zuma control internet gaming.

GTA is a game where you press triangle to initiate kill animation. ...in a grossly exaggerated comparative, of course.

What about the "Must do a minimum of seventy-five 'Shatner Rolls' per level" in Metal Gear Solid 4? that reminds me of always using the "roll" motion in zelda games to move across the board, or even up stairs, because it feels marginally faster.

Rolling in a ball in any Metroid game. Jumping like an idiot in wow thinking it will get me to move faster. I do not have the ability to just "walk" somewhere. I always have to be doing something else.

I'd jump everywhere I went in Oblivion to increase my acrobatics skill or shadow random people in villages to up sneak.

That makes me want to play the game now.
I've gotten really OCD about leveling characters in the Final Fantasy games. I have a save for FF6 that has almost every character maxed out at full health and full mana. I'd spend days killing those dinosaurs just so I can dominate the final dungeon.

Have you gone back and played the older Final Fantasies yet? Or are you still stuck on the furry-emo-gay ones?

Great list,
Guilty of 2, 4, 6, 7
Especially the Super Mario Bros 3 one is a great find.
Sorta did 8, just with Morrowind instead of Animal Crossing. At some point you get your own house, so I stalled my collected weapons, armor, cups, potions, baskets and pieces of food untill my Xbox decided it was time to crash because there were too many items on a too small surface.
