Barry is told by Prof Zoom that he is the idiot that caused the world of Flashpoint when he tried to save his mom from dying at Thawne's hand. Flash runs faster than ever to stop himself from stopping Zoom. Apparently successful, there is a weird ass spread where some chick explains to Barry that the timeline was fractured into thirds and he must bring them back the best he can. Apparently, the best he can is some timeline where Bruce is Batman but everything else is entirely different (see, DCnU). Tear jerker moments between Barry and his mom/Thomas and Bruce. This was single-handedly one of the dumbest explanations/comics I've ever fucking read.

Well, they were reunited at the end of Flashpoint. But, yeah. This shit again. Of course, reuniting the timelines resulted in the GA heroes being shunted off to an earth 2 and Hal and Bruce's history not really being changed despite the fact that everything else has fucking changed and now Wonder Girl is like some Dungeons and Dragon's thief or something and Wally is nowhere to be found.
Apparently, though, Barry can deliver Bruce a note from his dad from a timeline that doesn't really exist anymore and I'm guessing that he remembers that this isn't the same world he left before he caused Flashpoint. And, Booster Gold. I don't fucking know. This is stupid.

It looks like every single character in DC is capable of tampering with the universe. I wouldn't be surprised to know that Alfred can create a parallel earth by serving batman's drinks really hard.
