Well, I like action figures. GI Joe, Star Wars and Marvel. There is always something wrong with them, or characters that never get made.
Back when Batman animated was out they made a Batgirl figure that had all these crazy colors. The sculpt was right--she just needed to be black, yellow and blue. There also weren't any plain grey and black Batmans.....so, those were my first 2 customs.
Now I'm trying to do original characters and such. Mostly I just "fix" what I think is wrong with the figures we are given as customers/fans.
And that's the long-winded influence.....

Have you ever checked out Sillof's Workshop? He does a lot of customs including alternate versions of characters such as steampunk Star Wars and such.

Have you ever checked out Sillof's Workshop? He does a lot of customs including alternate versions of characters such as steampunk Star Wars and such. I check out the steampunk stuff...mostly by a guy named Ratfink. There is a boatload of that type of custom on youtube as well. Very creative.

This guy does cool shit with the characters like WWII era, Film Noir styled, Medieval European and Japanese renditions, and Old West.   He even did steampunk Avengers.
