I live in Boca Raton, FL which is Spanish for "the rat's mouth", named after an ocean-adjacent inlet that's allegedly shaped like a rat's mouth. There's an untrue legend that it was once a pirate's cove used to hide and ambush ocean-faring ships going by.

And in a city where you're never more than 100 feet from a canal, there are inevitably a fair amount of rats.
