No doubt this Gomez chick running for office made a big mistake, and opened herself up to mockery. It kind of reminds me of former Taxi series star comedian Andy Kaufman angrily challenging people to fights, and you didn't know whether he was joking or serious, and it pretty much immediately ended his comedy career, because in a disturbing and unfunny way, he was just insane. I think he died shortly after.
