Anybody else excited about the return of this infamous non-team of the seventies? The first fifty or sixty issues were very good reading when this book first came out! One of the best subplots consisting of a murderous little elf kept me on the edge of my seat for years! (Too bad it eventually resuted in a painfully and badly written resolution!) Brotherhood of the Badoon coupled with the Guardians of the Galaxy! The Headmen! The Valkrie's Barbara Norris personality! Nighthawk's reformation! Sons of the Serpent! Avengers-Defenders clash! I hope they can recapture the magic that made those comics so special to me! -----once over and waiting with baited breath!-------- ------------------

Being a big Hulk fan as a kid, one comic a month wasn't enough, so I naturally started buying Defenders. As Lancey-baby says the first 50 or so issues were cool, in fact it started to go down hill when the Hulk left! Highlights for me was Hulk bean fetish! As for the new series...............Pros:Busiek, Cons:Larsen!

And I miss Sandman Mystery Theatre! What's the point? We all know top notch series come and go while crap permeates the industry on a weekly basis! The Defenders hit the stands today. It was...alright. The art wasn't the best..or the worst. The plot was okay. I'm not sure if this "curse" ploy is going to hold up. Time will tell as I do see some of the old magic in this first issue! -----once over and hoping for the best!------ ------------------
