would a team of viciously powerful metahumans, like the authority, last in the mainstream dcu?

would they constantly be at odds with the jla? would they battle the jla, or both do their best to try "good"

would any members of either team be accepting of the others?

Check out Action Comics #675 for your answer...It's actually a pretty good issue, and I think it's gonna end up tying into OWAW...

It was Superman versus The Elite (DCU's Authority)... Who do you think won? Although Manchester Black is kickass.

Now that the Elite are an arm of the JLA, they're hardly stretching their muscles, are they?

At first i thought the Authority were cool, they were heroes who werent afraid to slaughter in the name of the Earths defence, something you know is wrong about the Marvel and DC comics, then Mark Millar kind of turned them into a soap opera with all the sex and drugs, in his run they also started killing enemies with chainsaws and stuff, they lost all their heroic natures and became more like vicious anti-heroes even worse than the Punisher

The Elite were kick-ass in JLA #100, the way they plowed through the JLA was excellent. Dissapointed me to find out they were sell-outs who wanted to work with the JLA in protecting the world, especially seen as all the points they made at the UN metting were dead-on

I think that Superman/Elite issue was Action #775, not #675. Just so nobody buys the wrong back issue and is disappointed in getting a story about the Toyman in prison, or something.

Oddly enough I preferred the Millar version, and didn't like JLA #100 (the idea of all of earth's armies banding together was ridiculous.)

I fell in love with a girl
Fell in love once and almost completely
She's in love with the world
But sometimes these feelings can be so misleading
