I will always have a soft spot for 3 3/4" G.I. Joes and classic Transformers, as those are what I grew up with. I still have all of my toys and comics, plus both movies on video. I am rather excited about Hasbro's upcoming TF: Robots In Disguise toy line so we can get those awesome new Takara TFs at non-import prices. Superhero-wise, I also grew up with Super Powers and Secret Wars and have nice collections of each. I'm not much into Marvel nowadays, so I have a large Toy Biz figure collection I'd love to sell or trade away. For DC, I collected Total Justice/JLA from Hasbro and liked them, and of course I dig DC Direct (I'd dig them even more if they released a JLI wave!) The 9" Hasbro figures are pretty swell too. I finally convinced myself they're not "dolls" but just "big action figures" so I could buy them with a clearer conscience!

he-man and voltron. 1000%. and, with a close second of transformers. he-man was the real deal, tho. in the might-makes-right rules of childhood, he was a god. its cool as hell that they're re-releasing the figures now... even better that they appear in their original boxes!

it has to be transformers G1 line for me....and now that takara is re-releasing the old transformers line.... i gotta get 'em all.... second would be the macross (robotech) transformable valkerie/veritech plane and third would be voltron.... btw, did anyone of u guys ever have the transformer "ironhide"? (the guy that turns into a red van)..... notice that in the cartoon he has a head, but the toy does not..... always wondered about that.......

digitaldawg, I still have Ratchet, the ambulance who is essentially the same robot as Ironhide, and it always bugged me too that the toy robots had no heads and were so clunky and had those silly scooter-things. Ratchet was one of my favorite TFs in the comic, but it sucked that he died horribly in the movie (so did Ironhide, by the way!) and his toy sucked. Did you know Takara is re-releasing a Ratchet/Ironhide two-pack soon? I think they are doing this with some of the earlier TFs who were obvious repaints of each other: Sideswipe/Red Alert and Starscream/Thundercracker/Skywarp are also rumored to be in this assortment.

yeah... i saw it on thier website.... i'm planning on buying the starscream bundle.... now what i'm really waiting for is the optimus prime remake and the constructicons remake.... if they are making them.....

surley they should release Sideswipe and Sunstreaker together as in the cartoon they're supposed to be brothers! Grapple and Inferno were the same as were Prowl, bluestreak, smokescreen..... Agree'd Ratchet was a fucking gay toy, I got Ironhide but took it back for Tracks! similarly, I used to really love Wheeljack but the toy pissed me off!

Optimus Prime has already been reissued! What website? So far I have the Black and Regular Optimus Prime reissues. Black, Crystal and regular Hotrod. Blue, Gold and regular Ultra Magnus. And finally the Black and regular Megatron. I got Buildking which is a recoloured Devastator!

Please don't post here Rob, we don't like your kind! Unfortunately, the reissues were only released in Japan - it was to celebrate the 15 anniversary. You can get them still on ebay for around $100, as I proudly listed, I also have the all black version -which looks superb. Btw Rob, the reissues are made from the same mold as the old Optimus of 15 years ago. Megatron is cool, he actually fires pellets and comes with a big sword - something the US and Euro versions never came with! Their packaged in replica boxes also!
