We find out that Jean has been a spy for Magneto for the entire time she was an X-Man. Wolverine seperates her head from her shoulders. Cyclops grows some balls apparently and becomes a true leader and yet another major character dies (who? Magneto, Charlie ?)
This is what I've heard atleast. Apparently the last page is yet another shot of Jean Grey under a headstone being mourned....

Truth be told, I only started reading 'cause of Wolverine. He was the greatest when I was a kid. I stopped collecting it around '94.

Bah, now I just heard that version is wrong and wolverine kills (beheads)magneto..phoenix apparently killed jean grey so she could come back and help save the earth from magneto...then another minor charcter dies....cyclops apparently blasts magneto full on through his helmet disfiguring his face though.
That sounds more likely, but since magneto can manipulate meatl I doubt those little claws did any permanent damage..... I guess that original spoiler was a sham....fuck all..I want jean grey dead because she should have stayed dead all those years ago....

Actually, wolf-boy did kill Jean. They were headed toward the sun on Asteroid M which was sent there by Magneto. Instead of letting Jean suffer, Logan gutted her. How nice. She turned into the Phoenix right after she died we think.

Well, he killed her to spare her any suffering of burning up. He loved her too much to see her suffer. I think if she betrayed the X-Men he'd be too shocked to do anything.

Morrison's tenure on X-Men hasn't been that bad, and it ain't over yet. I think Jemas might have had too much control over story directions. But all-in-all I just don't think he feels anything for Marvel's characters. His DC books were much better, and his JLA run was a classic.
