Thing is, inflation isn't so striking as all that in 10 yrs. So it literally costs more per ticket now, and the equation ought to weight the ticket sales that way.


Yeah. They ought to rate these things like the recording industry does with record sales. They rate by units sold, not the price of the album.

If the RIAA ranked albums the same way the movie industry ranks films, inflation would mean that Britney Spears was a more successful artist than Elvis, Bob Dylan or the Beatles.
