would adding depp and/or hoffman to the film force the franchise over the shark in fans minds? casting the "hot hand" big name like depp, or whatever, sounds more like a WB decision and less like nolan decision, from what very little i know.

personally, i trust nolan to no end with the franchise. the first two movies were phenomenal, so he's earned it. you wanna cast cher as catwoman? fine. sounds odd as fuck, but i trust the guy to write it up good.
