Nowie....why did you think Casino Royale was not a good Bond film? It was an origin story. It just did not feel like a Bond film. You coulda changed the name of the main character, and it would not have made a difference to the film. Most of the essence of what has been part of the Bond movies for decades, was completely missing. I grew up with Bond, and have been a fan since I was old enough to remember, and this to me just doesnt sit well with the others.

I've read it's controversial; some say it's crap while for some it's cult. I don't expect anything from it apart from being a decent turkey. (At least it has music by Sting and Max von Sydow has a part.)
BTW, I haven't read the DUNE books yet but I own most of Frank Herbert's and some of the Brian Herbert/Kevin J Anderson novels. The rest I can get at the library.
