Playing through Warcraft 3 and Diablo 2 in anticipation of the sequels. Also playing Tie Fighter again which is fucking awesome still. There's another WarCraft sequel coming out? Or are you referring to Lich King?

I launched my first nuke yesterday.
Pretty EPIC stuff right there.
By all accounts it is a scaled down version of Civ IV for the PC, but it's still a kick ass game...

Sid Meier built this one from the ground up specifically for consoles.
He took out a lot of the more indepth stuff, which is why it works so well on a console.
If they had tried porting a current version of Civ, it probably would not have worked properly.
I bought it when it first came out, and you can seriously lose track of time playing a game.
Many a night was spent playing it, only to look up and see the clock said 6am!

For me the civ games have always been too involved and slow for the consoles. I'd try this game if I had a DS but I don't see the appeal of it on the consoles.

Yup, good game! Still playing Overlord, but giving this a bash as well Have to say, this game was fantastic. I have never been a huge Tomb Raider fan, and I assumed this was a clone, so avoided it for ages. Finally picked it up as its a platinum title now, and I wish I had given it a go ages ago. While there are elements of Tomb Raider in it, its a completely different beast, being less arcadey, and more realistic. Theres a huge swerve later in the game, as it then becomes a Resident Evil of sorts. I am not gonna play it again on the hardest level. Fuck yeah!

Can anyone? I haven't played Twilight Princess in the longest time. I put it down so long ago and regret doing so. There's so much to explore it's ridiculous (lantern caves!). There's a couple of problems I have with it but otherwise it's awesome.

A little bit of Spore and some Bioshock. I've also played some Force Unleashed at a friend's a couple of times. In preparation of the inevitable zombie pandemic, I've been going through drill sessions with a Half-Life 2 mod called Zombie Panic Source.

Area 51. It's free! So far it feels like Doom III without the demons. Not good. Not bad. Oh lord, I played that on the Xbox when it first came out and it was such shit. I would describe it as more like Halo but without the multiplayer. The Illumanati were such pushovers, I wondered how they managed world domination. Then they threw in David Duchovony for the Mulder speeches. I still love the arcade game though.

Actually downloaded Zombie Panic: Source as well. Kinda fun. For some reason, seems a little slower-paced than I anticipated. Maybe I'll stick with BrainBread.

I'm not happy with the character generation system or the lack of the Fallout brand's sense of humor, but it has been fun so far. I do like a lot of the Oblivion add-ons like the ability to have a home and putting shit in it to help you, but I could do without the wear-tear system on the armor and weapons. Or, at least, a toned down system.

hm. How bad is that equipment durability system? Hopefully not as bad as System Shock 2... (If you've never played it, your basic pistol could sometimes break down after running two magazines through it, and 90% of the guns you encountered were broken/jammed and.. well. If your weapon repair skill wasn't high enough, you were screwed.)
Also, how are random encounters handled? And what's wrong with the character generation system?
I'm just curious -- it'll probably be a few months before I'm even able to play Fallout 3...
And regarding the "Oblivion with guns" thing, there was once a team working on a mod for Morrowind called "Ashes of Apocalypse," which had a sort of post-apocalyptic Western feel, though they never finished the project. Instead, they switched from Morrowind to Unreal Tournament 3. Stupid idea, if you ask me. Sort of takes away from the novelty of the concept...

I think the main problem you'll have in the game is that your character can't commit suicide.

Resident Evil 4. I'm used to playing FPSes with a mouse so I had a hard time adjusting to the gamepad's analog stick being used for targeting, but it became second nature after an hour or so of playing (and dying!).
I like how the character doesn't move like tank anymore, and the red targeting thingie is helpful.
My only complaint is that I can't rape the President's Daughter.
