...for how long the democrats' little honeymoon phase lasts before reality sets in and they figure out they're not gonna get a whole lot done without a fillibuster-proof majority. that, combined with the realization that they elected a figurehead with very little substance who's gonna end up breaking half his campaign promises anyway, ought to make for some very entertaining contrasts to the various gloatfests I'm seeing at the moment.

captain sammitch lost to obama by both the popular vote and the electoral vote. but i think we all remember he ran a strong campaign, calybos, and you should acknowledge that. good effort, sammitch!
the dems wont have much problem doing what they want for (at least) the next two years. i imagine the honeymoon of public/press opinion would be over for obama before that, if warranted. if obama can prove his worth before that, he's set and everyone'll be fine. but if republican fears about him are realized, public/press opinion will turn.

captain sammitch lost to obama by both the popular vote and the electoral vote. but i think we all remember he ran a strong campaign, calybos, and you should acknowledge that. good effort, sammitch! it's just disappointing because I actually tried, as opposed to half-assing the arcade room for a few months.

Your campaign was really hurt by your constant accusations that Obama started his political career in the living room of one of Bowser's castles or that he attended the church of the controversial religious leader Gannon.

The scandal of allegedly fathering a child out of wedlock didn't help you either, Sammitch. I still voted for you, but I knew that my home state, with its ultra-conservative views and "high morality," was a lost cause as far as you were concerned.
