Fuck. I hope this isn't true. If they end up firing him over this it will probably fuck up season six.
obama is planning a press conference or something for next wednesday at eight which might end up with lost being delayed another week if it runs late, which it will.

I doubt they'll fire him over this (assuming the level of his conduct in the report is accurate). The nature of her lawsuit is for monetary damages. By the time it was litigated, production on the show would be over.
Besides if Roman Polanski can rape a thirteen year old girl and still get work in Hollywood....

Yeah, if nothing else, the center-left media will spend so much time kissing his ass afterwards.
Pre-empting "Lost": just one more way that Barack Hussien Obama is hurting America.
keep your circle jerking obama hate in the politics forum...

There is no reason for the networks to be interrupting new shows now. They're all on the digital format and the ABC affiliate here has an all news station now. Show it on that and leave the new shows alone.

rex, can you do me a favor and stop watching lost? starting with tomorrow night's episode. i want to make sure there's another season, and your track record is pretty shit.
If rex says Lost won't last another season, that should be enough to guarantee it does. rex's opinions have the power to alter reality, as long as he really believes he's right.
it's true. even true to the characters in the story. like, just as the oceanic six was arriving home, they probably hurried to their tv's, eagerly trying to catch up on all the good shows they missed... and only then did they find out that arrested development was being canceled and about to go off the air in a few months. all that work on the island to get home for their shows was for nothing.
because people like you never bothered to watch.
...you're the reason arrested development was canceled!!1!

i think that is pariah.
but i get the two of them confused, as well.
Rex is the one who uses the word retarded more often.
I read the spoilers before I saw it so I knew what was going to happen at the end but I still enjoyed it. I think faraday is wrong about the variables. They aren't going to be able to change what happened. If they were his mom would have told him how he was going to die.

seems like the episode was trying to illustrate that exact point
faraday is the super genius of the group, and even he couldn't do anything to escape the fate -- even dying right after he made the speech saying that any of them could die. he came back to the island and did all the things he said he had to do (talk to chang, warn lil charlotte, etc) then his mom shot'em (presumably?) dead. i.e; fate can't be altered.
which, honestly, sorta confuses me (this show!?!?) -- if they did successfully change fate as he laid out, and the plane never crashed, what would happen to jack n'kate n'company? they'd just *blip* appear in LA, 2004, like nothing happened? no memories of the island?
One of my theories about the show is that things were supposed to go a certain way but Ben kept interrupting it and doing things the way he wanted them to happen. Him turning the frozen donkey wheel instead of Locke is a great example of this. I think if they did change the past the plane would still crash (which ben had nothing to do with?) and things would get done the way then were supposed to. That could be the plot of season six.

Man....the cast of LOST sure have some parental issues, don't they? So, that's what happened to Daniel Faraday. Right. Bye Daniel! Enjoyed it.
Nice tie with Miles and Dr. Wang. I like that LOST is following my own personal view on time travel, in as far as how I enjoy it being presented in fiction. That being, whatever happened, happened. For example, I know that I will never go back and meet my ten-year-old self, because I never did. I don't remember ever meeting myself, therefore I will never do it. Time is constant.
Is anyone else getting the vibe that there's a third group, besides Ben and Widmore, that are interested in the island? The people that picked up Miles in the van say the same phrase that ROME-chick did to Lapidus, back on the beach, right before they knocked his ass out: "What lies in the shadow of the temple?" (which could mean, what lays on the ground in the shadow of the temple, OR, what object/person/being tells lies in the shadow of the temple)
If they were Widmore's group, they wouldn't have been trying to talk him out of it. If they were Ben's group, why the subterfuge around Ben himself, and the taking of Lapidus?
I think there's another group at work here.
Oh, and Jack and Kate are still the two most uninteresting characters on this show. Thanks.

Yeah. If there's one thing that I find a little off-putting about Lost these days is that they seem to be going to that particular well a little too often. Everyone on the show is ending up related to someone else.
I'm not saying it won't work out in the end. Just observing that the whole "I am your father's brother's nephew's cousin's former roommate" vibe is getting a little thick.
i still think the whole "we can unmake this" thing farraday started is dumb. sure, the whole show is nutty, but the idea that one change will unmake the past three years just seems screwy. they'd just "poof" (blip?) and the past three years never happened? hurley and charlie never meet? desmond gets marooned somewhere else? i still hates it!
on a separate note, i've seen a buncha theories on how john locke is actually dead now. they've hinted a few times as such, particularly ben who keeps driving home "dead is dead". even richie guyliner was shocked to see john.
it could also explain how the island is "talking to him" now, and why he seems to know much more, act much more confident, and takes the reigns in the relationship with ben. the plot to kill jacob was pretty unexpected, and odd, but hopefully fun!

I think he's dead but that Ben's wrong that "dead is dead." I think some people on the island are able to exist as, basically, ghosts: Jacob, Christian and now John being three examples.
oh, and bravo to the show: even young eloise has a nice rack
this.
when i saw her come out of the pool all i could think was "Id so hit that."

The podcast that was supposed to come out on Wednesday got leaked. since it was supposed to come out before the finale they are no spoilers but a couple interesting things. One of which is they say that between this season finale and next seasons premiere the people who have been paying attention might be able to guess how the show will end.
