I was out tonight, and for whatever reason, I strike up some small talk with a random woman (pigs must have been flying). While it didn't go absolutely badly (she smiled when she talked to me), I couldn't even get her name, much less anything else. Which leads me to ask "What the fuck is wrong with me?" My friend Nicole tried to cheer me up with "Maybe there's something wrong with her", which I suppose would make sense, except for the fact that EVERY woman that I've ever been interested in romantically/ sexually has rejected me in some form or another, leading me to believe that it's me there's something wrong with and not the entire female gender. For the past 15 minutes I've been trying to stop crying, and I haven't been entirely successful.
All I've ever wanted was someone to be in love with, and have that same person be in love with me, and I'm starting to realize that that is never going to happen.

There're levels of drinking. I wasn't fall-down sloppy drunk at the time, no, but I had enough drinks to influence my emotional state.

Every week, there's a day when I have about 3-4 drinks, more on special occasions. Depending on how much sleep I've had and what I've had to eat that day, my level of inebriation varies. There's a broad spectrum of intoxication ranging from "sober" to "puking my guts out". The night in question was one of the nights were I was slightly past the middle of said spectrum.

I pace myself, yes, but I drink rum & vodka, as opposed to beer. If I had been drinking beer, then I wouldn't have been as bad off. 3-4 glasses of liquor, even with pacing, will have more effect than 3-4 glasses or bottles of beer.

3 or four glasses of spirits, spread out over a "long" night, are not enought to even make a normal human a bit merry, let alone drunk (unless you have the constitution of a 5 year old).
If you drank soft drinks and water in between those 3 or 4 glasses, then there is even less of a reason for you to be drunk.

Only way 3 or 4 glasses of rum or whiskey etc would make me drunk, is if I did my old trick of drinking them within 20 minutes, and I dont even drink regularly!
