Think my favorite "mixed" drink for when I'm just hanging around with friends (in other words, pacing myself and not drinking to get drunk) is dark rum and cherry Pepsi. I know a guy who mixes something based on everclear and a bunch of citrus based liquers and mixers that tastes just like an orange Dreamsicle. Of course that's the appeal. Can't taste the alcohol but it's strong as hell.
