Rule 1 - Be excellent to one another
The first Rule of Bleeding Cool deserves special mention at this point as things start to get busy here. Debate a person's posts all you like. Argue all you like if you can back up what you say with some reasoning. Bitch about anything you like if you can support your position intelligently. But avoid personal insults and attacks, period. We're heading towards something special here -- if we can just get the last few people to buy into Rule 1, and realize that their opinion carries more weight if they follow it, then this place is going to be awesome.
The Bleeding Rules
1, Be excellent to one another. If you get in fight, take it outside. Abuse, intolerance and general arsing will be subject to the whims of Rich Johnston and Avatar. Your messages will be deleted, you'll be booted and I'll change your status to something very embarassing.
2. No fan fiction, fan stories, or fan art (and that includes fan art of Avatar-published properties). I'm sorry but the legal complications it might cause for Avatar more than outweigh any benefits. You can posts links, sure, but nothing that actually sees that work on the forums. Sorry. You'll have to find another home for your Harry Potter/Wolverine slashfic.
3. No one questions the validity of the British TV licence fee.
