pick up his book as well, if you can find it. he goes into a lot more detail about the karate look and the mental state he'd gone into. he also talks a bit about his return back to the old look and persona some. I wish they'd covered that on the dvd.
Does he mention how drastic his physique changed with his Karate look? I understand why he did it, even though he knew no martial arts! Man,He was flabby as fuck!
I think he does actually! iirc, it was both depression and drug related. I do remember him saying about the karate gimmick something to the effect of "I wanna do karate!" and they were just like "okayyyy. . ." I think they went along with him in the hopes that it would snap him out of his funk.
