Does anyone want to see that movie? Everything I've seen of it makes it look like some bad foreign action movie.

Why?

Because Diesel and Walker's careers have hit a brick wall.

He's a good character actor. And I don't think they make damn near enough westerns these days. 3:10 to Yuma was damned good.

It was OK.

Christian Bale's character moved around pretty well for a dude who got a wooden leg in the 1800's

Warning, Spoiler:
So BSAMS can post it for everyone to see late.

You're telling me that you didn't get totally involved in that movie, especially when Spacker Dave shot Bale in the back?

First time I saw it, I personally described it as looking like a B grade. But now I see that they're doing all the over the top cheesy violence on purpose. And, for some reason, that makes things forgivable.

Punisher War Zone looks good. Ray Stevenson kicks fucking ass on HBO's Rome, and I have no doubt he'll do the same here. The spinning chandelier thing aside, it looks like the comic book Punisher. Worlds better than the Thomas Jane thing.

It's interesting to note that I read Marvel is looking at Stevenson's Rome partner, Kevin McKidd (also The Journeyman on that NBC Quantum Leap ripoff), to possibly play Thor in a movie...

  • Inkheart - Inkheart is a thrilling adventure that stars Brendan Fraser as Mo Folchart, a father who possesses a secret ability to bring characters from books to life when he reads them aloud. But when Mo accidentally brings a power-hungry villain from a rare children’s fable to life, the villain kidnaps Mo’s daughter and demands Mo bring other evil fictional characters to life. In an attempt to rescue his daughter, Mo assembles a disparate group of friends - both real and magic - and embarks on a journey to save her and set things right.

  • Smother - Marilyn Cooper (Academy Award-winner Diane Keaton) is one of those mothers- the kind who’ll call at 6:30 in the morning, or tell embarrassing stories about her son Noah (Dax Shepard) to complete strangers. When she suspects her husband is having an affair, she decides it’s time to “take a break”, and shows up on Noah’s doorstep with bags and five foster dogs in tow. Already having lost his job, hosting an unwelcome houseguest (Mike White) on his couch, and facing pressure from his wife Clare (Liv Tyler) to start a family despite his fears of inadequacy, Noah now finds the mother he’s always kept at a distance just a room away. He soon starts to realize that if he wants to stand up to the problems in his life, he’ll have to stand up to his mother. As heartwarming as it is hilarious, SMOTHER is a family film in the truest sense of the term- your family.

  • Defiance - Daniel Craig, Liev Schreiber In WWII Russia, Jewish refugees band together into a brigade that hides in the forest, ambushes Germans and survives until war’s end, eventually 1200 strong.

  • Paul Blart: Mall Cop - Kevin James In Columbia Pictures’ comedy Paul Blart: Mall Cop, Kevin James stars as the title character, a single, suburban dad, trying to make ends meet as a security officer at a New Jersey mall. It’s a job he takes very seriously, though no one else does. When Santa’s helpers at the mall stage a coup, shutting down the megaplex and taking hostages (Paul’s daughter and sweetheart among them), Jersey’s most formidable mall cop will have to become a real cop to save the day.

  • Transporter 3 - Jason Statham Frank Martin has been pressured into transporting Valentina, the kidnapped daughter of Leonid Vasilev, the head of the Environmental Protection Agency for the Ukraine, from Marseilles through Stuttgart and Budapest until he ends up in Odessa on the Black Sea. Along the way, with the help of Inspector Tarconi, Frank has to contend with the people who strong armed him to take the job, agents sent by Vasilev to intercept him, and the general non-cooperation of his passenger. Despite Valentina’s cynical disposition and his resistance to get involved, Frank and Valentina fall for each other, while escaping from one life-threatening situation after another.

Though, "Gran Torino" looks good. Except I can't get over the whole "angry old man" vibe.

Pixar's new movie. Wall-E was the last of the original batch of Pixar movies and Up is the first one thought up after the company made it big.
