He starts out sounding like Batman hasnt been seen in a movie in a long time, then says "Since 2008".
Then at the end, says the date is for years after Dark Knight "hits" theatres, which is future tense, suggesting the film hasnt been released yet.

Also, you would have to say the word sequel makes "followup" entirely redundant.
