that's what nowie originally noted, as well. my response to that is that phone calls require constant, good-or-better connections to be useful. emails, texts, status updates, etc, etc, require intermittent bursts, at best, to send and/or receive the data since, by nature, there's no steady stream required. bringing it all back to the original point, this is likely the reason why i think many iphone users wouldn't even notice potentially poor-er phone quality in the new one, since they've already largely written it off.
