A little bit of both? too esoteric. this is a bit of a quandary because a lot of us stay for the things that we can't find anywhere else (including the running gags), but those are probably the same things that turn off most of the newbies. Also, there's really nothing here that would make people stay. I guess if the news posts are more consistent/had something to offer instead of just cut and pasted links. I remember when Rob went crazy with the recruitment drive, and even offered rewards to people who can provide regular content. Did that work?

I think we need to start having regular stuff again (like what JLA just did in the womens forum. I do think the constant copying and pasting has scared people off. I liked it when the deep thoughts forum was a place we actually discussed things, not its just the latest talking points from other websites.

I think we need to start having regular stuff again (like what JLA just did in the womens forum. I do think the constant copying and pasting has scared people off. I liked it when the deep thoughts forum was a place we actually discussed things, not its just the latest talking points from other websites. So why don't you try engaging other posters with topics? And, no, constantly whining to other posters to "think for yourself and stop cutting and pasting" (or some variation thereof) is not "actually discussing" things. Neither is endlessly baiting WB (who should stop being stupid enough to take the bait I will add).
