why is it called the penis of truth, anyway? is it because you can't lie about the size?

That's a good alternative explanation.

As I recall, I made reference to Pro being impaled by the truth. You added, saying my choice of words resembled steamy homo-erotic fiction.

I made reference to Pro being impaled by the truth and not my penis.
But this being RKMB, truth evolved into a penis. And later the Penis of Truth.

And a legend was born.

It's funny because Wanky Boy is an insatiable, unrepentant child molester.

By the way, I've enjoyed all of Tarantino's films. I will be seeing this latest project, especially when Will Smith inevitably leaves it.

Even Death Proof. Was it his best? No, that would be Jackie Brown or Inglorious Basterds (in my opinion). But Death Proof has some great scenes. There's a moment where Kurt Russell, after helping Rose McGowan into his car and watching the first group of girls ride off, looks directly at the camera and smiles just for a split second that is - for me - the return of Cool Kurt Russell. The four-girl kill scene is well done. And I love the chase scenes at the end. Once again, Tarantino puts together a solid soundtrack that I find endlessly listenable.

I'm not gonna be the one who argues over originality and all that bullshit. I know he lifts from other movies. But at least he's honest about it and at least his films are entertaining.

Leonardo DiCaprio could become the latest to board Quentin Tarantino's upcoming Django Unchained, a project being described as a Spaghetti Western style story set in the south with a freed American slave as the hero.

DiCaprio is reportedly in talks to become the villain, Calvin Candie, and would be set against the title character and his German Bounty hunter friend (Christoph Waltz). Actor Samuel L. Jackson is also on board to play Candie's right-hand slave.

As reported last month, the role of Django went out to Will Smith though director Tarantino is meeting other actors in case Smith's busy schedule causes an issue. Variety reports that Idris Elba and Chris Tucker are among the list of candidates of hopefuls if the deal doesn't get worked out with Smith.

Chris Tucker as a backup for Will Smith. This man is a movie making genius.

Looks like Jamie Foxx is taking the lead now. Which is better. At least that dude can act.

People have apparently been leaving this film left and right. First, Will Smith bolted. Then Joseph Gordon-Levitt left it to direct his own movie. Kevin Costner was originally cast as the slave trader Ace Woody. He bailed. Then, Kurt Russell was hired to fill the part. He's now bailed. Tarantino is having such a hard time keeping actors in the role, that he had to merge it with another one. Word is that his script is a little too strong in the racist terminologies for Costner and Russell as they'd like to keep getting work after this movie.

So, obviously, the solution is to hire Mel Gibson

http://movies.yahoo.com/news/quentin-tarantino-scraps-hateful-eight-over-script-leak-025421748.html
 Quote:
Quentin Tarantino has declared war on Hollywood agencies after his Western script “The Hateful Eight” began circulating around Hollywood, the Oscar-winning filmmaker revealed in an extensive interview with Deadline.

“I’m very, very depressed. I finished a script, a first draft, and I didn’t mean to shoot it until next winter, a year from now. I gave it to six people, and apparently it’s gotten out today,” Tarantino told Deadline. “I like the fact that people like my shit, and that they go out of their way to find it and read it. But I gave it to six motherfucking people!”

The title for the director’s latest opus was revealed in December, with Deadline reporting that Tarantino was courting two-time Oscar winner Christoph Waltz and “Nebraska” star Bruce Dern for lead roles. On Tuesday, Tarantino told Deadline that Waltz never received the script (neither did Tarantino favorite Samuel L. Jackson), which he personally handed to Dern and “Reservoir Dogs” stars Michael Madsen and Tim Roth, as well as “Django Unchained” producer Reginald Hudlin and two other people.

Harvey Weinstein has distributed all of Tarantino’s movies and the director had just started talking to the mogul about how they were going to make the movie. It’s unclear whether Weinstein or anyone at the Weinstein Company had been given the script.

Feeling betrayed by the script leak, Tarantino has decided to shelve the project and publish the script before the end of the year, as he’s preparing to meet with publishers.

I can only hope that he accidentally uploads the next one to his Facebook account and walks away from it too.

I suspect that it was Pariah who leaked the script. Probably read it too.

I'm starting to suspect that pariah is Quentin Tarantino.

Both seem to have identical views as to the equivalence of an online script and a full-blown movie

I have never been a fan of directors or writers as most have hit or miss films, I just watch films without worrying who is at the helm. With Tarantino its hard to NOT know he is the director as they make such a fuss of letting you know he is. I avoided him for the longest time as the first movie I watched of his, Reservoir dogs, I thought was an overrated piece of dogshit, and Pulp fiction initially didnt excite me (although repeated viewings changed my mind on it, and I really like it these days).
Then of course he was involved in the first From Dusk Til Dawn film, which I loved (though as producer and actor from memory).
Jackie Brown, I saw a bit of, and didnt like it. Kill Bill I was recommended despite my protestations that I didnt like Tarantino (this was before I gave Pulp fiction a second viewing), they said it was nothing like his other films. They were right, it was even worse.

Then came Inglorious Basterds. I absolutely loved that film.

Death proof was a pile of steaming horse shit, worse than anything he had done before.

So I gave Django a try a few weeks ago, and it was quite good. Not amazing, but still good.

But as for Tarantino, I watched an interview with him from last year where he got all pissy with the interviewer who asked him about violence in films, and now he is throwing this strop because the script leaked. Yeah, be pissed off, but is that any excuse to then say that he is not gonna make the film?
The guy is a petulant twat, who wants to throw the baby out with the bath water. The kinda guy who takes his ball home in the middle of a game when his team is losing.

He should stick to being killed in films like From Dusk To Dawn and Desperado.
