A friend and I went to see this a couple nights ago.I thought this was a really good film.Pretty good story,I thought that maybe it would be at best a mis-match,but it didn't feel too contrived or forced.Action and characterization were pretty well-balanced and I thought Craig and Ford looked pretty comfortable in their roles. The aliens looked pretty menacing but not invincible and to top it off.....Olivia Wilde was damn sexy.Best thing though was that there wasn't anyone else in the theater, which is why I enjoyed the movie so much All in all a good flick.

It was a good blend of sic fi and western.
It was different seeing Ford as a bad guy.
I wonder how close the movie was to the graphic novel?

Well, maybe you should try reading. Like, this thread, for instance.

Well, maybe you should try reading. Like, this thread, for instance. Ugggggghhhhhhh, you know that is not what I meant. There are 2 posts that actually have anything to do with the movie. The other million posts in this thread are like Pro or Pariah using their navel gazing future sight powers on assuming whether or not the movie will be "good".For instance there might be a poster here, rex or G-Man that has some useless bit of information about how many millions this movie took in. In that amount of time it took me to type that I could have looked it up, yes. But then where would this oh so interesting thread be....? I was attempting to create a conversation about how this movie did at the box office, why it failed, why it was good and Americans didn't go see it..whatever.

I wonder how close the movie was to the graphic novel? does it really matter? according to bleeding cool, the guy sold the movie rights before there even was a comic.

Saw it tonight. It was really good. Not a great movie, but a fun movie. Lot of PC bullshit with Indians and cowboys over coming their differences to blah, blah, blah. It did take a non-Hollywood turn at the end. Fun. Good cast. Great effects.
