I know what you mean. I called up my sister a few days ago and my 10-year-old niece bragged to me that Mommy was taking her to the Warped Tour. Apparently, my niece is a fan of the Dropkick Murphys and Good Charlotte. The idea horrorfied me until I realized:
1) My niece will be with her parents, nice and safe.
2) The vast majority of concert-goers wouldn't be a threat to her anyways.
3) I'd rather my niece become a fan of these bands (ones I actually like, too) than of Britney, Christina, etc.

This is weird
A duet that sounds like it was thown together (which is probably was) in which Carl Barat and Pete Doherty accuse each other of being responsible for the break-up of the band.
It's hard watching Pete kill himself because in spite of his drug problems and the shady characters he hangs around with, he's retained a wonderful innocence and a unique world view.
Musicians with habits are two a penny, but this story is unfolding weekly in the music press and it's probably going to end with his body being wheeled out from some squalid London flat.
