I'm not sure I get the comparisons with Clinton since the media did follow that story. Unlike Cain though, there wasn't any previous settlements before he was elected.
As for Cain, what is there to like? His lack of foreign policy knowledge? Iggy's right, this guy has bigger problems than just wandering hands.
I like Cain personally, I think he's very likeable and a people-person, and that has taken him a long way.
The comparison with Clinton is that there were multiple accusers of Clinton (Gennifer Flowers, Paula Jones, and the highly credible Juanita Broaddrick) never got any exposure unless their allegations were undeniable to the point that the media had to cover them.
Liberals who bemoan discrimination, intolerance, restraint of Constitutional freedoms, and promotion of hatred toward various abberant minorities, have absolutely no problem with discriminating against, being intolerant of, restricting Constitutional freedoms of, and directing hate-filled scapegoat rhetoric against conservatives.
EXACTLY what they accuse Republicans/conservatives of doing, is EXACTLY what liberals/Democrats do themselves, to those who oppose their beliefs.
There's multiple accusers and two settlements made way before Cain ever thought running for President. You refer to one accuser that changed her story 90 degrees as highly credible. Cain has played the race card, blamed the media, Perry's campaign and now the democratic machine for multiple women. He might be superficially charming but I think by now you should know better.
It's lame whenever used. It's extra lame when a pull yourself by the bootstraps guy like Cain rushed to use it. Is he still the guy you think we need or are you back to Trump?

On a somewhat related note, I thought Cain sounded like a broken record at the debate tonight. Every answer was brought back to 999. While I'll give it credit for being a proposal, answering every question with it is hitting Bachmann's "make Obama a one term president" levels. She backed off of that a bit and sounded somewhat sane tonight. Cain, on the other hand, made it sound like 999 is the solution to every problem we have both foreign and domestic.
That's apples and oranges, Iggy! You're talking apples and oranges. I'm a Black Walnut kind of guy and I'm here to tell you 999 is the mark of the BEST! BOO-YAH! Fuck YEAH!
A woman identified as Ginger White went public Monday with allegations that she had an affair with GOP presidential contender Herman Cain.
“I’m not proud,” White told Atlanta station WAGA-TV. “I didn’t want to come out with this. I did not.”
She had no qualms with admitting the affair was inappropriate.
“It was pretty simple,” White said. “It wasn’t complicated and I was aware that he was married. And I was also aware I was involved in a very inappropriate situation, relationship.”
White said the relationship was an escape from everyday life.
Watch:
“He made it very intriguing,” White said. “It was fun. It was something that took me away from my sort of hum-drum life at the time and it was exciting.”
White had autographed copies of his books “Leadership is Common Sense” and “CEO of Self” and compared Cain’s public persona to the Herman Cain she claims to have known.
“Very much the same,” she said. “Very much confident and very much sure of himself, very arrogant in a playful kind of way — very ‘Herman Cain loves Herman Cain.”
White said that she remained friends with Cain, but felt compelled to come forward because of the women who accused him of sexual harassment.
“It bothered me that they were being demonized sort of, or that they were being treated automatically lying, you know and the burden of proof being on them and so I felt very bad for them,” White said. “I wanted to come out and give my side before it was thrown out there and made out to be something filthy which some people will look at and say that is exactly what it is and I’m sorry for that.”
WAGA’s Dale Russell revealed that White had filed sexual harassment charges in the past, and also faced financial difficulties.
I'm saying that, at least, he acknowledges knowing this woman. It's a bit of a first for him. This isn't harassment. This is full-blown affair territory. So you fell for a gaffe prone manslut. It's okay, Rex. The butthurt will go away. Perhaps, he should take some lessons from this guy:

Mr. Cain has been informed today that your television station plans to broadcast a story this evening in which a female will make an accusation that she engaged in a 13-year long physical relationship with Mr. Cain. This is not an accusation of harassment in the workplace - this is not an accusation of an assault - which are subject matters of legitimate inquiry to a political candidate.
Rather, this appears to be an accusation of private, alleged consensual conduct between adults - a subject matter which is not a proper subject of inquiry by the media or the public. No individual, whether a private citizen, a candidate for public office or a public official, should be questioned about his or her private sexual life. The public's right to know and the media's right to report has boundaries and most certainly those boundaries end outside of one's bedroom door.
Mr. Cain has alerted his wife to this new accusation and discussed it with her. He has no obligation to discuss these types of accusations publicly with the media and he will not do so even if his principled position is viewed unfavorably by members of the media.
Or, to paraphrase:

God, why do you guys keep defending this hack? Let him go and let him take Perry, Santorum and Bachmann with him. He's a one trick pony that regurgitates 999 whenever he thinks he can get away with it over sounding stupid by actually answering questions.
And alternately, if it was John Edwards or Anthony Weiner or Bill Clinton or some other Democrat, they wouldn't run the story till they had absolute proof.
And even then, they'd call the Republicans mean for bringing it up, it's his private life, how is this relevant to his job as a political figure.
But of course, if it's a Republican, the mere unsubstantiated allegation means he has to step down.

Then the media could be counted on not to run the story without evidence, and the investigative reporting of the facts would run in the National Enquirer, where the rest of the media could scorn the coverage for weeks, until the facts became undeniable and finally got traction that the liberal media would be forced to finally reluctanctly cover.

Swing and miss, Rex. I didn't vote for Obama in '08.
You abstained. So basically, you helped him onward to victory.
McCain won the electoral votes for my state by more than one vote. Therefore, no matter how I voted, I would've had no impact on the outcome of the election. You're reaching really far to try and make such a dubious claim, Pariah, even for you.
And that's exactly the kind of mentality that helps assholes win elections.
Suppose you knew that your state wouldn't have won in electoral votes, would you have voted then? Or would you simply say, "Obama still would have won anyway, so I'm not gonna bother"?
I was just pointing out how stupid your argument was. It wasn't that I didn't want to be bothered. I didn't vote in the presidential election because I didn't believe that any of the candidates deserved my vote. The only one that may have was Bob Barr on the Libertarian ticket. The reason I didn't vote for him was that I wasn't sure about his "conversion" to libertarianism though, to be fair, I think he has done some good work since then.
As for the big two (Obama and McCain/Democrats and Republicans), they feed at the same trough. The destination is the same, Hell. They just offer different transportation services. Terrible analogy, perhaps. However, I think the point is clear.
I didn't vote in the presidential election because I didn't believe that any of the candidates deserved my vote.
That's even worse.
The presidential election has nothing to do with voting for who's most deserving. You're thinking of the primaries (if you think at all).
Presidential elections are about triangulating your own views on which candidate will either help the most or screw up the least.
And spare me the faggot 'both sides suck' high-road speak that you and your boyfriend use to justify quoting yourselves and the occutards ad nauseum.

Now, I am starting to see the John McCain we all knew he was. And, because of that, I am beginning to reconsider voting for him tomorrow.
So, what do people think? Have any of you noticed a very likable change in his demeanor the past few days? If so, do you think he was just trying to hard, pandering, or something like that?
Replies would be appreciated.
Demeanor....Huh!
Stop pretending that you held this 'Republicans and Democrats are both out to rape us' catchphrase fest to heart before Prometheus started regurgitating it into your mouth--using left wing talking points no less. That's clearly does not allude to such a mentality.

Because you KNOW the Republican shills, Iggy. They're not interested in choosing proper candidates. They just need a life-win, and this is as close as they might be able to get.
The Pussy chose Herman Cain, and was let down. The Traitor chose the racist redneck, and is again, let down. And as for Chrissy P...

I think someone is letting their Alt-ID show. Meanwhile, your use of "faggot" proves you're the same racist that the Wonder Traitor pretends not to be. Congrats hatemonger!
Iggy, they're all childish fools. They're squirming in their bile because they keep choosing the losing sides. Don't sweat them. Post what you want, HOW you want, WHERE you want. They can't stop you. All they can do is come running and cry and lie and throw a tantrum. We win just by posting here.
P.S. Cain is a simplistic, ignorant fool who is just another corrupt millionaire trying to fleece the masses. I love watching the Shills scramble to defend anyone with an (R) in front of their name...
This isn't really a surprise. It was really dumb of Cain to keep pushing once the women started coming out.
If you jackasses hadn't openly gloated about the unproven sexual allegations, and had limited your attacks to how dangerously uninformed Herman Cain is on foreign policy, then I'd be agreeing.
But when you gleefully cheer unsubstantiated personal attacks, you've made clear your bias based on something other than the issues.
