Eleven days.
Eleven days until the ticket I spent twenty dollars exhausts its one-time use.
On the night of Friday, May 2, 2003, I (among others) will board a bus which will take us to a cruise liner. Aboard the cruise liner will be a buffet dinner and dancing; all in all, a semiformal affair.
From my current point of view: The majority of the people who will be attending want to have a date (or an escort, or whatever you care to call it). In this regard, I am no longer part of the majority. At this point, I plan on going alone. If anything happens between now and the night of the boat ride, that could change.
For instance, two-fifths of my fanclub (which is five women strong) have named another member as a potential date for me. I realize they mean well, but I know for certain she's interested in someone else. It seems as though I'm "enjoying" the same situation with two-thirds of the females on this entire campus. Hence, my current solution. Why bother troubling myself over a minor snafu when I can alleviate the situation by enjoying my own company and that of my friends? I do know people who are going, after all. Just because they have dates and I don't doesn't mean we can't all have a good time.
