The pilot was fun.
You can defo see its made by the same team as Arrow and Flash.
It does take the more light hearted tones of Flash and lighten them even more, but thats pretty much what people want from Supergirl.

Jeb Bush says she's hot http://moviepilot.com/posts/3613822?lt_source=external,manual CBS series Supergirl debuted last night with actress Melissa Benoist as the title character. But, while the show marks a triumphant return of a TV series centering around a female superhero (the likes of which haven't really been seen since the 1970s series Wonder Woman), its star was also the target of some rather questionable comments made by presidential candidate Jeb Bush. Luckily for Bush, Benoist was able to show a little more diplomacy in her response.
During a Q&A in Las Vegas last Wednesday, Bush was asked by an audience member to name his favorite superhero. While the question might seem odd to ask of presidential hopeful, the 62-year-old former Governor quickly launched into his response:
"I kind of like the old-school guys, like Batman. Supergirl is on TV – I saw that when I was working out this morning. There’s an ad promoting Supergirl. She looked pretty hot. I don’t know what channel it’s on, but I’m looking forward to that."
While his comments are enough to make anyone cringe, luckily for Bush, Benoist, who appeared on CBS This Morning on Monday, took the high road with her response. Talking about the comments, the 27-year-old responded:
"I heard about it...You know, I don’t know what to think about it."
Though, true to making the best of a weird situation, Benoist added that she was at least "glad he’s excited to watch the show."

My daughter liked it. The lighter tone of the show was fine & she did a pretty good job as Supergirl,but the rest of it was kind of "meh" for me but then again I'm pretty sure I'm not the target audience & that's ok.

It's several seasons in now. I actually won a Blu-Ray of season 1 of the series, answering questions for a radio station. I never heard of it before then. It's a bit two-dimensional and comic-booky, but I still enjoyed it.
And I don't think they could possibly have picked a more beautiful girl to play Supergirl. The black Jimmy Olsen was a bit too PC for me. So I watched season 1. After that... I've seen enough.

The black Jimmy Olsen was a bit too PC for me. i've go no problems with a black Jimmy Olsen but at least make him more Urkel than Idris Elba. Jimmy's supposed to be a nerd, not a stud.

Well, it was kind of funny to me that absolutely no one on the series had a problem with Supergirl lusting after and dating a black Jimmy. Including her mom. "Ohh, you're dating a black guy, wow, that's great!" Yeah, that happens frequently.
I liked 30 years ago how John Byrne updated Jimmy Olsen, but still left him a nerd.

I stopped watching the show because it's mostly a soap opera and has little to do with Supergirl.
