I first became aware of this in the "public service" commercials on all networks, including Fox and Newsmax. Where they show this montage of asian americans talking about the "rising threat" of hate and violence against asian Americans. But they never show video of attacks, they never give statistical demographics of who is attacking, they never demographically break down the ratios of racial groups who are attacking asians, but (always implied, never specifically cited in sourced numbers) that somehow Trump and whites are responsible for attacks on asians.
Neither of these are the ad I saw, but they have the same basic style and flavor, and narrative. NEWSMAX and OAN have cited that violent attacks on asians are overwhelmingly by blacks, and these networks (unlike the other liberal networks selling a lying narrative that conforms to their ideology, of attacking whites as racists, and in particular Trump and his supporters as the cause) have SHOWN THE VIDEO of these attacks, that are consistently by black suspects, paticularly concentrated in metropolitan areas of California and New York states. The deepest blue, most liberal states !
And that predominance of blacks attacking asians is not a new phenomenon, that goes back more than 30 years. For example when the Rodney King verdict riots in Los Angeles occurred after four police officers were voted not guilty by a jury, the most concentrated attacks were on asian-owned businesses by black rioters, particularly Korean-owned businesses. As a ratio of population, Koreans have the highest ratio of business owners of any demographic group. And speculation is that black targeting of Koreans and other asians is a jealousy of their financial, academic and business success.

Which demonstrates quite well the liberal bias of those posting the "facts", and tailoring it to exult Biden and the Democrats, while also tailoring it to attack and blame Trump and his supporters.
But when you dig into stats in the article (sourced only from articles posted by the overwhelmingly Democrat/Liberal media) you see that in only 18% of cases is the attacker even identified by race ! We see the reluctance of the liberal media in decades of stories to report that an attacker is black, in any circumstance. One of my favorites along these lines is an example cited by Bernard Goldberg in his book Bias, from CBS news, where a reporter covering looting on a Caribbean island after a hurricane had his story not broadcast by CBS. Oh no, no, said the CBS network executives talking to him from New York by phone, we can't broadcast that, everyone looting is black. That would be racist. "But the entire population of the island is black!" , screamed the reporter. "The POLICE are black ! I thought our job is to report the news!" But CBS would not air it, and just ran a still photo of the island's flag, with nonspecific facts about the looting.
The best part of the above linked article are the comments after the article, that eviscerated the bias of those who posted the story, and broke down well how the facts were twisted to conform to a leftist/anti-white/anti-Trump narrative. That when you get to the very end, you find that only 16% of the incidents cited involve "physical harassment". And 16% of what exactly? 16% of only 18% of incidents where the race of the person attacking asians (verbal or physical, huge wiggle room for the narrative) are even identified? That 80% of the cited incidents were only "verbal harassment". They just softly nudge that out into view, at the very end of the article.
So what are we even actually talking about here? Another liberal false narrative with a political purpose to demonize white America. And specifically, demonize Trump and his supporters. Nothing serious, nothing factual. Pure narrative.
Fox News host Tucker Carlson and author Ying Ma discussed the “lie” that “Republican racists” are behind a recent rash of violence against Asian-Americans. Reports of hate crimes against Asian-Americans have risen significantly since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, a problem Carlson said President Joe Biden linked to “white supremacy” in a Thursday speech segment he played on Friday night’s edition of “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”
“So again, Joe Biden is tying these crimes, which are real, to the right,” Carlson said. “He is saying anyone who talks about where the virus came from, talks it may have escaped from a lab, is abetting violence against Asian-Americans, that’s why they are being attacked. But it’s a lie. The attackers don’t look like Trump voters, necessarily.”
After playing footage of some of the attacks, Carlson accused Biden and Democrats of making them “into political ammunition.”
“Is it really Republican racists doing this, as Joe Biden suggested last night and so many other Democrats have told us?” he asked before bringing on his guest, the author of Chinese Girl In The Ghetto. While Ying Ma acknowledged that some whites doubtless harbor “hostility or resentment” against Asians because of the virus, she also said that “time and time again” the recent “attackers are not white.”
“And so what the Democrats or the far left have done, actually quite effectively, in the past year or so, is to libel former President Trump for something that the Democrats themselves actually are very much guilty of, and what is that? That is their silence and their cowardice before black on Asian attacks that often occur in America’s urban areas,” she continued.
