Actually the polls have been showing Trump losing support since becoming a convicted felon but this debate obviously helped Trump. He told some big lies and Biden didn’t really challenge him on much of it. My hope is Trump will still do the second debate but I’m afraid he’s going to let that be the last one.
That is quanifiably untrue, and just wishful thinking on your part.

WENT UP in the polls since his fake conviction in a rigged court, and Republicans, Independents, and even many Democrats, are incensed by the blatant unfairness of that trial and rigged verdict.
And further, donations to the Trump campaign have dramatically risen since Judge Juan Merchan's fake conviction, as of today about $200 million added to the Trump campaign, and 33% of those donations by people who have never donated to a campaign before now.
All those things manifest a dramatic rise in support for Trump,
NOT a decline.
