As demonstrated by the Kirby family and their lawsuit against Marvel, the Shuster family is not alone in their exploiting a lawsuit to get royalties for the family patriarch's under-compensated past work. And it seems like copyright laws and the legal system have shifted in recent years, to be on their side.
Another example I can think of is Frank Frazetta's 3 children, who have made an industry out of exploiting "the legacy" of Frazetta's past work, while creating nothing themselves.
