i dont think it'll be around long. harley is being way too overexposed, and, her popularity will quickly fade because of it. unless timm and/or dini take on the book, i wouldnt expect it to last 10 issues. ------------------

I protest whenever I read a crappy book, especially when released by a company that cancels good books that 'no one reads' to make way for the latest cash cow two ply.
Harley Quinn contributes nothing to the DC universe in this 'solo title'. This book's sole reason for creation? To convince fans they need to purchase another monthly Bat-title.
Stick Harley in an actual story doing something of substance, and yeah, I'll read it, and possibly enjoy it.' The Code' wasn't that bad, and I was a big fan of the Mad Love adaptation. But what we have here in the monthly is yet another Catwoman or Azrael title that CONNECTS to the Batuniverse in somewhat confusing ways but doesn't add to it. In fact, all 3 of the previously mentioned titles detract from it. If a newbie was jumping into the batitles full bore and picked any one of these sorry 'self contained' books as a starting point, and gauged the Batman line on the merits of HQ 1, Catwoman 87, or Az 71.. chances are they might not give Detective a second look sitting on the stands next time they breeze in to buy comics.
As mentioned elsewhere, I've read and enjoyed humorous stories created by Karl Kesel in the past. My wife the ever obsessive Harley fanatic cringed reading number 2, uncoached by my bitter ass. She started asking me what an 'elseworlds' was and could this series actually be one. And that opened up a huge discussion involving the real world, hypertime, and stupid ongoing series pitched without any sembalance of reason, rationale, or need.
This book blows ass.

never left dhaise? huh... havent seen ya, or the starred one in quite some time. ...i get lonely... ..sometimes... i just sit in my room n'cry.... anywho..
regardless, the book will be gone soon. were it told and drawn in the animated style? i think i'd be more interested. HQ, the character, is great. even when placed in the "regular" continuity (as opposed to the animated version). however... she's BETTER suited for light(er) stories. then again, she's also better suited for better writers (i.e; dini). ....and... then again, she's also better suited for less frequent appearances and/or books. ------------------

Harley's book does blow huge 'ol chunks! I don't think I'll bother picking up the third issue. No. 2 really made Two-Face look like an imbecile instead of a master criminal! -----once over and it reminds me of the poor attempt done when they gave the Joker his own series! Try it again, DC! Only do it Vertigo style and watch it take off!--------- ------------------

Hey! I finally got around to reading the first issue yesterday and I kinda enjoyed it...I thought the art was great, and I've always been a fan of Karl Kessel's writing...I loved that when ever they would show Harley thinking of Mr J, they would show that panel or panel in the animated style. I think I'll stick around for awhile and check it out... ------------------
