Seeing as no one else is posting right now,I have a matter I need Rob to clear up!
You said earlier that I couldnt have Hal as GL as I`m only buying the name!
So I take it this means I have the Spectre right now,but if I was to pick Green Lantern as a character,does this mean I only pick up the rights to the current GL or do I get exclusive rights to the name GL?
I mean if I was then to buy John Stewart or Lois Lane I could call them GL?
But if someone else buys Guy or Alan,they couldnt use the GL name?
If someone buys the Flash (Wally) does that mean if someone else buys Jay Garrick,they couldnt use the name the Flash?

back on pg 1, when i said that you gotta purchase the company name, i was referring to when you tried to name your company "total bastard comics" not the GL scenario. but, to further clarify... if someone were to select 'flash,' that, to me, means they picked 'wally west' as he's the current incarnation. but if they specifically said 'barry allen,' then they get that character (who, in their universe, might not have died -- or could have been brought back to life). you selected 'hal jordan' -- which, to me (and im the judge, so my thoughts count) means you have hal jordan -- he can be a pilot, a gl, OR the spectre -- its your universe to maintain how the character is run. same with john stewart -- you can make him a regular guy or a gl, if you select him. lois lane, on the otherhand, can NOT be selected as a GL, as she's never really been one. further, if you select hal, and allan selects kyle, you now BOTH have green lanterns (if thats the incarnation of the character you both intend to use).

i guess it'd depend on the circumstances (whats kree?) like, if you wanted to buy krypton, id consider that the same as buying a property, like 'gotham' (and would, thus, come complete with all kryptonian history and population). cost of $5 mil. and no, you cant say 'fine, i buy earth'. earth is not for sale.
