The Outsiders are kinda the X-Men of the Nowhereverse,although their deeds should see them given the same kind of adulation as the JLI 9more on them to come),they are looked on by the public less favourably!
They were formed by the current leader Blaze (Johnny Blaze) as a weapon in the war against Chaos! Blaze is one of the longest serving heroes in the Nowhereverse as he was the original Ghost Rider 15 years ago!
Johnny was a stunt rider years ago,was actually well on his way to being as big as Evel Kenevel,when tragedy struck! Johnny was kidnapped by a group of Satanists to be sacrificed & make aname for themselves! Unfortunately for them the worshippers failed in their quest to raise Satan,& raised the demon Zarathos instead! Zarathos killed all of them but offered Blaze a deal,he could either becoe Zarathos` Earthly vessel or face the same fate as his captors! Blaze accepted the former & thus became the being known as Ghost Rider! Five years later he was freed of his curse in as yet unrevealed circumstnces by the Lords of Order,and Johnny went into hiding! Four years passed & a new Ghost Rider appeared! Dan Ketch had become cursed with the spirit of Zarathos in a college prank gone wrong! The Lords of Order approached Blaze & told him a Crisis was coming & ased that he accept similar powers to the ones he had as the Ghost Rider but without the demonic possession,help guide the new Ghost Rider & put together a team to help fight the coming Crisis!
After pursuading Ghost Rider to join,his next recruit was Rogue! The woman known as Rogue was a mutant who had gained her powers whe she reached puberty! She ran away from home & had lived on the streets until Blaze came across her when he was the Ghost Rider! Blaze helped get her back on her feet & helped her gain a small semblanc of control over her powers! Rogue then became Johnny`s lover & went into hiding with him!
Cyclops,another mutant,also developed his powers at puberty,but he became a superhero straight away,but was never that successful! Blaze offered to train him if he joined the team!
Hawk was created to be an agent of Chaos,but they made a mistake,because although Hank Hall is a volatile person,he is also incredibly honest & his belief in good is unwavering,so he revolted against Chaos & sworeallegiance to the Lords of Order! Order then gave Dawn Granger the powers of Dove to partner Hawk & maesure he didnt stray to the side of Chaos!
Wildchild & Impulse are an unlikely pairing! Wildchild is a mutant & Impulse was involved in an accident in a school chemistry lab which gave him his super speed when he was only ten! As both were a handful they were sent to a school for wayward youngsters where they both met & became friends! When the school was destroyed by a fire,the two went on the run as they were both unfairly blamed! They both adopted superhero id`s & set about battling evil!
Resurrection Man was actually brought back from the dead by the Lords of Order & placed him on the team! Not much is known about who he is,even he himself is in the dark!
The Outsiders were key players in the Crisis,& were lucky to have all members survive a battle that wiped out a lot of Earths heroes!
