quote: Originally posted by Kimi: I think the difference is that, say, "Wheel of Fortune" lasts a half hour, is a one day deal, and "the mole" is weeks-long, catches candid moments, the cameras are on 24-7, capturing these people doing daily activites, like eating, getting dressed in the morning, etc. Even though the results are highly edited versions, they capture more of "life" than a very structured 1/2 hour show.
so what about a show like the view?
its an hour (...right?), once a day, features people just talking about whatever and being candid, in a regular-day setting, has featured guests or events....
or cops? izzat reality tv?
i dunno -- i certainly see what you're saying. but i think i'd only apply the reality tv term to shows like the real world or the ozbournes or anna nicole.
