Watched it for the first time two days ago............that's a really good movie........and I'm not a fan of musicals.......(With the exception of Popeye the Movie.)

Yeah,I used to think it was about a bunch of hills & twirling nuns.Once I found out it took place just before the start of the Second World War & dealt with the Anschluss & so forth,I was intrigued enough to watch it.......sad to say a number of songs were kinda catchy.What was truly amusing though was that the director,Robert Wise,also directed Star Trek:The Motion Picture.
