What say you, TTT? Do Spidey, Hulk, and FF need to review their escape clauses more carefully before they jump ship?

Well, I've just had three VERY long telephone conversations with Spidey, the Hulk, and Mr. Fantastic, and they're still convinced that they want you as their agent, Marc, so I've agreed to let them leave their contracts with me. Something about their wondering "Who the hell am I? And how the hell did I get this job anyways" was mentioned. Spidey was especially vehement about my obvious lack of credentials when it came to Marvel properties and no amount of "Show me the money!" RAH-RAH-ing could convince him otherwise. Oh well, it's like water off a duck's back to me. [biiiig grin] (I once became a duck -- a time-traveling duck, no less -- but that's another story.)

(BTW, TK... Phoenix/Jean Grey has accepted your offer for 75 million, irregardless of who picks up Cyclops.)

$20m for Iron Man, TTT. That's a lot more than he'd get if he was part of a package deal with the Avengers.

Iron Man accepts your offer unless there are any better bids in the next 24 hours. He wanted me to tell everyone that all the kids think that he's tres cool and that his little moustache does not in any way signify his being homosexual (his words, not mine).

Ok,I`d like to offer the following:

$40,000,000 for Wolverine!

Sorry, but Weapon X has informed me that he doesn't want to go for anything less than Jean Grey. There was also some brief confusion about the U.S.-Canadian dollar exchange rate, but I think it was cleared up to his satisfaction.

BTW, on a related note, Alpha Flight called me up and asked me to represent them as a package deal. They told me that it's aboot time to get back into business, eh?

All right, captains, how about some love for the Hulk? He has expressed to me in short, choppy sentences that he will smash if not placed quickly.

Well, I finally managed to get through to him after several hours of being put off by one of his lackeys.

The situation is this:

Magneto is concerned that you don't appreciate his iconic status and isn't sure that he'd do well as a character under your captainship, his temporary deceased status notwithstanding, and was actually quite incensed at your specific rationale for keeping his bidding price that low, but I've advised him to accept the offer as it's the only one on the table. I also pointed out that he was your very first bid and therefore much more prominent in your mind than he'd assumed. Magneto reluctantly accepted your bid unless a better one is offered in the next 24 hours from now, though he would have much more peace of mind if you had more Homo Superior (IE: mutants) on your team. He doesn't want to be a "Token Mutie"...

Dave, my client is very pleased with your initial bid, and he has agreed not to kill you. However, as absolute monarch of Latveria, he feels it is beneath him to jump at the first offer tendered. Between you and me, I believe a nominal increase will satisfy his pride.

Thank you for your interest.

Fair enough. I intend to utilize Magneto as a primary force in my continuity. I'd have bid on some of his buddies, were it not for the bidding restrictions.

As soon as the date passes I'll bid on Charles Xavier for $20 mil.

captains, keep running lists in each of your posts, indicating all of your acquired players, as well as your open bids

if one of your bids has not yet been addressed, feel free to publically call out a specific agent

cap'n marvel is currently unrepresented (how 'bout it, chaos?)

nightwing is interested in your 25 mil offer, but as said, since both his woman and his father are headed (or currently headed) to dave's team, master grayson would like to know if dave has an interest in his services.

that, of course, could be swayed with either a bigger offer for nightwing, or a bigger offer for batman.

TK,
Nightwing is pleased with your offering, due to the fact that he currently doesnt have a job right now. However, he is still struggling with the decision of joining you. His girlfriend and mentor are in the clutches of Dave. Maybe, a lil bit more money will pursued him.

(whisper) between you and me, I think if you offer him to sign Robin he'll go for it.

Not to worry Marc. Im not interested in being Spider, Hulk or FF's agent. Im interested in being a [italics]double-agent[/agent]. Representing chararcters from both universes, DC and Marvel.

I want to be Xavier, Martian Manhunter, Deathstroke, and Gambit's agent for now.

WAIT ONE FRICKIN' SECOND! Who's representing who now?!? The last time I talked with Charles he was happy with my work thus far and didn't say a thing about getting a new agent. I'm representing all the X-Men.

(And unless I'm much mistaken -- and I don't think I am -- isn't Mr. Kamphausen still representing Nightwing?)
